Open casting call
Here it is, the open casting call for season 2! Please read the instruction carefully. If you don’t follow the audition procedure as is described here, we won’t take your audition into account. This is because producing the show and everything around it is a streamlined process and we expect people to understand/work with that. However, as long as you follow the steps below, we will always listen and see what we can do, no matter your skill level. ๐
Update (13-06-2026):
WOW! We had so many responses in such a short time! It means the world to us and it feels surreal how many people want to be a part of this world and the greater project. We have updated the list below and the roles that have been lined through are now fullfilled. However, even if your prefered role has been given away, we still encourage you to audition. Why? Because even the side characters with only a few lines are IMPORTANT and we are working on expanding this project into many different new areas like the videogame in the future. So it helps us a lot to have a “rolodex of talent” so to speak. So keep the info coming and we will do our best to listen to everything!
What do we want you to do? (Please read carefully)
Step 1: Check out the list of roles below and pick one or multiple roles described here to audition for. Read the instructions carefully. For some roles we are looking for specific accents.
Step 2: In character, we would like you to say the following sentences and fill in the blanks. This allows you to show us if you understand your character well. The sentences are:
“Hello, my name is (Name of character your are auditioning for that you can also make up on the spot). I like (Insert a thing your character likes) and I dislike (Insert a thing your character dislikes). I think I would be a worthy addition to the Talebearer cast because (Insert reason why your voiced character thinks they should be here).”
Step 3: Make a recording with your phone or mic setup you have. Doesn’t have to be perfect, just as long as it’s listenable and available in .wav or .mp3. We do not accept other file formats and we expect you to deliver this. (We are not converting files for you. Again, we want to work efficiently here considering the amount of auditions we will get.)
Step 4: Send your contribution in an email to auditions@talebearer.net with the title “Talebearer Audition – (Your name here)” in which you include your audition files, your full name, email address we can reach you on and where you are from. This is to determine how we can make this work logistically if we choose you.
Step 5: We will check your recording and judge the tone of voice/skills on display and get back to you. Even if it’s not a match now (Which is always possible) we will keep you in mind for future seasons, as there is always a place available somewhere.
Good luck on the audition and we can’t wait to hear what you will send us!
